Tun M may worry marginalization of malays in PP occured in Iskandar

"I think people must respect the Constitution. The Constitution says that the ruler is a constitutional ruler and not going to be involved directly in execution of any thing. But we see that in Johor this is not happening. Although the MB says that he will advise the ruler, but past experience have shown the MBs and even Prime Ministers sometimes defer to the ruler because he is the ruler. This is a Malay adat, you see, that if the ruler says something, you just follow whether it is right or wrong. I am afraid that the MB of Johor is not going to advise the Sultan; he is going to be advised by the Sultan.

"I think the government must be firm. In particular, the Prime Minister must be firm. (Sic) you deviate from the Constitution, other people will also ignore the Constitution and when they ignore the Constitution even the institution of the rulers maybe affected, because the rulers are there due to the Constitution not due to anything else.

"I hear in Johor lots of lands have been sold to foreigners, even the sea has been sold to foreigners and this is very bad and this is not being done by the state government Although the state government, of course, approves. That's how firm the state government is; they do things which they know is wrong."
